With mosaic tiling, is it possible to put non-stick cooking spray on the tile/glass for easier grout removal?

I'm new to mosaic tiling and have been creating stepping stones. I was curious as to whether or not using non-stick cooking spray, applied to the tile or glass only prior to grouting, would make for easier clean up of grout from those surfaces after application of grout.

1. that would stain the grout right off the bat.
2. Maybe a little Vaseline. Lots of elbow grease too.
3. not cooking grease but maby ummm.... vasoline or sommin like tht
4. I've never heard of this.
