How do you protect glass tile backsplashes?

I'm installing a custom glass tile backsplash in my kitchen and want to know if there is some type of film or sealant to put on the area behind the stove. I want to protect it from heat and oil while cooking.

1. The glass tiles and grout won't be harmed by the heat of the stove. It's the grout between the tiles that might soak up any oil that splatters. You need a grout sealer. Some are added before grouting, others after. See the link below.
