Can anyone recommend a nice glass tile that would match well with an uba tuba granite countertop?

We're replacing our backsplash and some wall tiles and we're thinking of using glass tiles. The countertops will be uba tuba granite so we thought glass might look nice. Any recommendations (with photos if possible) would be much appreciated. If you don't recommend glass a recommendation on ceramic or other tiles would also be helpful.

  1. Hi Albert, The sky's the limit for backsplash options. Here's a combination of glass and slate with Uba Tuba...http://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=681431&postcount=1636

  3. Here are a couple of ideas: Daltile's Maracas Glass series in Rainforest Blend pattern, either mosaics or interlocking blend (follow link, scroll to bottom): http://www.daltileproducts.com/series.cfm?series=156#2015 Daltile's Glass Reflections series in Wheat Field (follow link, near top of page): http://www.daltileproducts.com/series.cfm?series=119&c=42 Ahnzu's Molten Glass in Gold Mine: http://www.ahnzu.com/collection_details.cfm?catID=5&collectionID=6# A quintessential glass tile source in Interstyle. There are tons of options there, but a couple I picked out are... Using their Barcode line in Electric Eel as an accent strip (if all-glass tile gets too pricey): http://www.interstyle.ca/products/barcode/barcode-colors.html Their Rivercrystals recycled glass line: http://www.interstyle.ca/products/barcode/barcode-colors.html You can be budget conscious by using, say a simple, solid ceramic tile in a classic shape/pattern, like a subway tile for instance, and accenting it with glass tile. Horizontal rows are than placing inserts or dots, because you don't have to worry about where they fall in relations to your electrical outlets & messing up the pattern. Either way, you might only have to buy a couple-o-few sheets of glass tiles. Example, if you have 1" mosaics that come in 1 square foot sheets, then you can get 6 lineal feet of double rows out of each sheet. (see sample picture at right of this link: http://www.interstyle.ca/products/cobbletones/cobbletones.html). Good Luck with your project!
