Is there a way to break glass bricks silently?

There is an abandon building not to far from my house that they are slowly working on tearing down. At this building there is a wall of glass bricks and there are a couple of really cool corner ones I would like to get. Unfortunately, I need to get these bricks in a relatively quiet fashion and was wondering if anyone knew of ways in which glass of glass bricks in particular could be broken silently. I need to break the ones around those that I'm taking in case anyone couldn't figure that out.

1. Duct tape the windows, and smash away.
2. i'm not sure about glass bricks but a quieter way to break glass windows is to put some strong contact over them first, and then hold a blanket over that. it might work with glass bricks.
3. I think your best bet is the old smash and grab. If they are tearing it down anyway, nobody should mind the sound of some glass breaking. Also, it is most likely going to the dump anyway...but maybe not. I would talk to the people that are there tearing it down..maybe a few bucks and they will tear it out for you.
